Tools for climate data
As part of the DigitalMRV project , the partners are working on tools for the collection and use of climate-related data. The abbreviation MRV stands for “Measurement, Reporting, and Verification” of the measures used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
With more efficient measurement methods and, as a result, simpler certification processes, IOTA and ClimateCheck want to facilitate the marketing of measures to reduce CO² with DigitalMRV.
For this purpose, a 14-month pilot test to set up a data acquisition system for landfill gas is starting in Chile. Real-time data should improve the transparency of emission credits and facilitate their further use.
